came here as it was really conveniently located for a concert i was going to at climate pledge. the restaurant was bustling, so i had high hopes. i was actually a bit disappointed in what my table ordered. the crispy rice seemed a bit stale, and didn't have that crunch factor im typically anticipating. another one of our specialty rolls was actually wrapped in radish/daikon instead of rice which i was not expecting at all. it was great to try, but i probably wouldn't come back again.
Went to Moon Tree for happy hour on a Tuesday at 3 and it was empty so we got seated right away. They have a good happy hour menu! The star was the Las Vegas role which we loved and was on the HH menu. We also ordered the crispy spicy tuna roll and we were not a fan of all. It had no flavor and we didn't like it at all. We also ordered the pork riblets which we loved. The meat came off the bone but it was a bit dry, we wish there was more sauce. Overall good place for happy hour in the Queen Anne area.
Moon Tree Sushi And Tapas is probably the biggest thing I miss about Seattle. An absolutely solid sushi restaurant, I still miss their Asari Miso Soup with a passion. Moon Tree does all their rolls right, with high quality fresh ingredients 100% of the time and their tapas are mouthwateringly delicious. Seating is a bit tight and they're often very busy, but Moon Tree was our go-to after a long day and I highly recommend them both for their outstanding service and food. All in all, a definite must-eat if you're in Seattle!
My wife ordered Asari miso soup and I got the regular miso soup. The only difference is that her soup had clam and mine didn't. I wasn't really feeling the soup but my wife enjoyed her soup. We had 3 different roles, the Fancy Seattle, super moon and fire dragon and I will say that I was impressed with their rolls. The only disappointment is that they don't have much option for tempura rolls, and give you a tiny bit of wasabi. Other than that everything was amazing. The service was great, they were attentive and helpful. The ambiance was great and we enjoyed it as it made us feel at home.
We were grateful to have found this lovely & clean Japanese restaurant within walking distance of our Seattle hotel! Not only did they have the rare negi maki entree they also had green beans & salmon sashimi over rice. My favorite was the salmon! My wife was thrilled they had the negi maki too!!! We happened to be here at lunchtime. Leopard our waiter was great. He provided relaxed & friendly restaurant service here. He just so happened to be Chinese just like my wife! LOL yes they got to chatting where their family was from in China. The food was delicious & we were very satisfied! We would return absolutely! In fact my wife may want to come here on a whim one day! awww when is that needed next Seattle trip??? It was very convenient to have the Rabbit Rabbit Tea next door too! My wife was happy! She did happen to get her unsweetened passion fruit green tea drink! She was big smiles that day. Happy wife, happy life! Aw we are truly blessed.
My first time today. Excellent friendly service and the sushi was great! Fresh and large pieces of Nirgiri. The Clam Miso was incredible!! AAAAAA++++++
Overall the fish quality was nice! I did enjoy the salmon sashimi. The rolls had many unique flavors and their tapas also incorporated many ingredients. I was a little disappointed by the price for the portions given, but I guess that was to be expected in the Seattle center area. The service was good and the servers were really attentive towards us. The inside isn't too big but didn't feel cramped or anything.
We went here before a Storm game and allotted enough time before we wanted to head to the arena. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, crispy rice, baked mussels, fancy Seattle roll, and fire dragon roll. The crispy rice and Brussels sprouts came out super quickly, around 3 minutes after we ordered! Then the others came in shortly after. We're also not slow eaters so we were in and out in 25 minutes! I liked everything but the fire dragon roll was just okay. I still wouldn't mind coming back to try their other dishes! The service was not bad either! It's a solid spot if you're in the area and looking for sushi before a game or just have sushi cravings!
Food and service was amazing. The place is cute and clean. Loved the music too. We went at happy hour and we got all of our food very fast. We got nigiri, takoyaki, agedashi tofu, yakitori, crispy rice, and hotate. Everything was stellar but I was surprised at how much we liked the crispy rice. We would definitely come again.
